These very lines came to my mind on watching a woman on u tube in a net daily, trying to decode Modi's popularity under the heading 'isiliye 'in her own way[which i don't remember now] and i decoded it in the above way .
which is that he so often speaks of 'is Desh' .and the inherent potential of this country with such obvious pride that it is sweet music to ears starved for long decades specially the past decade that didn't hear any leader mention the word 'My country' in any debate or speech or interview like as if it was no longer fashionable or the 'in thing' to do.
No doubt 'vasudev kutumbham' --viz The whole world is a family, is a very noble world view but to a person like me who may appear shallow and narrow to all those 'mahanu bavos' -meaning August persons of noble assembly', it is the word desh , Bharat mata ki jai ,Vande mataram and my country and so on that is like a dash of sweet nectar drenching my being .
